The Best Masonic April Fools' Joke

In 2009, a legitimate-looking website, http://glsneafam.wordpress.com/, announced the Grand Lodge of Connecticut and the Grand Lodge of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations would merge to form the Grand Lodge of Southern New England on April 1 of that year.  Initially generating "confusion among the craft" the posting became suspect as readers noticed the date of the merger coincided with April Fools' Day.  Additionaly, visitors to the site found another article detailing the Masonic "Zombie Preparedness Plan." It didn't take long before the hoax was revealed, but in a craft of such ancient and rich traditions, this may be the best Masonic April Fools' joke ever.
